How Approved Disputes works
One workflow, start to finish — you approve every step before it happens.
1. Add your credit report
Upload a PDF or HTML export from your credit-monitoring provider, or add tradelines by hand. Tri-merge (3-bureau) files are split out automatically.
2. Review potentially inaccurate items
Every account is checked against common negative-item and Metro 2 patterns (charge-offs, collections, late payments, disputed status codes) and flagged for your review.
3. Choose the dispute basis
Select the factual reason a flagged item may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable — you decide what's disputed, based on your own knowledge of the account.
4. Attach supporting documents (optional)
Add proof of address or identification if you plan to mail it alongside your letter.
5. Generate a draft letter
We draft a personalized letter citing the relevant FCRA basis (or Metro 2 field-level challenges on the Premium plan) for the item and bureau you selected.
6. Review and approve
Read the full letter before anything happens with it. Nothing is finalized without your explicit review.
7. Download and mail it yourself
Download the ready-to-mail PDF, addressed to the correct bureau. You remain the sender of every letter — we don't mail on your behalf.
8. Track the round
Each dispute opens a tracked round with a response-window countdown. Log what happens next and escalate to the next round if needed.

Approved Disputes does not guarantee deletions, credit-score increases, or any particular outcome. Accurate and current negative information generally cannot be removed. Results depend on each consumer's circumstances, supporting information, and the responses of credit reporting companies and data furnishers.
