Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Approved Disputes, a product of Always Approved Group (California, 3154 Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90039-1830) ("we," "us"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our website and software (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Account information — name, email address, phone number, mailing address, date of birth, and the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. We do not request or store a full Social Security number.
Credit-report and document data — when you upload a credit report or connect a supported credit-monitoring provider, we process the tradeline, inquiry, and score information it contains solely to identify items you may want to dispute and to prepare correspondence you direct us to generate. Uploaded files and supporting documents (proof of address, identification) are stored in access-controlled storage tied to your account.
Payment information — subscription payments are processed by PayPal. We do not receive or store your full card or bank account number.
Usage information — device, browser, and interaction data collected automatically to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use information
- To operate the Service you request, including generating dispute correspondence you review and approve.
- To identify and prepare potential disputes from the report data you provide.
- To communicate with you about your account, disputes, and billing.
- To maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations, including recordkeeping required under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA).
3. Service providers
We share information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf: Vercel (application hosting), Supabase (database and file storage), Anthropic (AI-drafted correspondence), PayPal (subscription billing), and Resend (transactional email). We do not currently use an in-app mailing/fulfillment provider — dispute letters are downloaded for you to print and mail yourself. These providers are contractually restricted from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to us.
4. AI processing
Dispute correspondence is drafted with the assistance of Anthropic, a third-party AI provider. Report data sent to that provider is used only to generate your draft letter for that request; per Anthropic's commercial Terms of Service, "Anthropic may not train models on Customer Content from Services," so data submitted through the API is not used to train its underlying models. You must review every AI-drafted letter for accuracy before it is downloaded or sent — the software does not verify factual accuracy on your behalf.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect the Service. We do not currently use any analytics or advertising tracking tool; this section will be updated if that changes.
6. Data retention
We retain account and dispute records for [OWNER: data-retention period, e.g. 6 years after account closure], and longer where required to meet recordkeeping obligations under CROA or other applicable law. Uploaded credit reports and identity documents are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service or as you direct, and are deleted if you delete your account (see our Cancellation & Refund Policy).
7. Your rights
You may access or correct your account information at any time from your account settings. You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time from Settings → Danger zone, or by contacting support@approveddisputes.com. Deleting your account removes your personal information from active use; records of a signed services agreement and any dispute letters already sent are retained in de-identified form, as required for CROA recordkeeping.
8. California privacy rights
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, contact support@approveddisputes.com.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, described further on our Security page. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
